Character Skills

Character Skills are a feature of Characters in KartRider: Drift, introduced in the RISE Update.

Summary

Character Skills are divided into two categories: Active skills, designated by orange icons, that need to be manually activated by the player; and Passive skills, designated by blue icons, which automatically activate under certain circumstances. The rank of the character's outfit affects how often the player is able to utilize that character's Skill.

Dao Icon.png Dao Dao skill.png Leaps & Bounds Dao launches himself forward through the air, giving him a burst of speed and the ability to jump over ground-based hazards. The fewer items Dao is carrying, the further the jump. Cooldown 17s 16.1s 15.2s 14.3s 13.4s
Draky.png Draky Draky skill.png Gauge Drain Draky drains Active Skill cooldown from opponents ahead of him, granting him a speed boost that stacks up to four times. Cooldown 25s 23.7s 22.4s 21.1s 19.8s
Erini.png Erini Erini skill.png Lightstone Shield Erini creates a field that grants a Shield effect to allies and removes Shields and Angel Armor from opponents that drive through it. Cooldown 20s 19s 18s 17s 16s
Kris Icon.png Kris Kris skill.png Banana Hack Kris hacks her opponents, replacing an item they're carrying with a Banana. Then gives Kris a Boost or Siren depending on how many players were hacked. Cooldown 21s 19.9s 18.8s 17.7s 16.6s
Lodumani Icon.png Lodumani Lodumani skill.png Greed on the High Seas Lodumani emits a shockwave that collects nearby item boxes, giving him their contents. Cooldown 27s 25.6s 24.2s 22.8s 21.4s
Lucid.png Lucid Lucid skill.png Explosive Butterflies Lucid gains a burst of speed, and any racers who make contact with her explode. Cooldown 28s 26.6s 25.2s 23.8s 22.4s
Mayor Zipi.png Mayor Zipi Mayor Zipi skill.png Old Money Mayor Zipi swings his cane, giving him a very brief shield against an incoming attack. Cooldown is reduced if this skill is used successfully. Cooldown 15s 14.2s 13.4s 12.6s 11.7s
Miso.png Miso Miso skill.png HexaDraw Miso locks on to an opponent and drags them toward her. Cooldown 25s 23.7s 22.4s 21.1s 19.8s
Neo Icon.png Neo Neo skill.png Wave of Justice Neo swings his sword, knocking nearby racers away from him. Cooldown 13s 12.3s 11.6s 10.9s 10.2s
Pim.png Pim Pim skill.png Slippery Snowflake Pim drops snowflakes behind himself. Opponents that drive over the snowflakes are locked out of their steering controls temporarily. Cooldown 26s 24.7s 23.4s 22.1s 20.8s
Sophia Icon.png Sophia Sophia skill.png Leave Me Alone Sophia removes Shields, Angel Armor, Boosts, and Balloon protections from nearby opponents. If she removes at least one effect, she is given the effects of a Shield. Cooldown 15s 14.2s 13.4s 12.6s 11.8s
Spirit kid.png Spirit Kid Spirit Kid skill.png Ghosted Spirit Kid turns invisible, preventing other racers from targeting her with lock-on items or skills. Cooldown 17s 16.1s 15.2s 14.3s 13.4s
Taki.png Taki Taki skill.png Lightstone Boost Taki grants a Boost effect to nearby racers. If he didn't give a Boost to an opponent, he is given a Boost item. Cooldown 17s 16.1s 15.2s 14.3s 13.4s
Tiera.png Tiera Tiera skill.png Prettion Power Tiera locks on to another racer and launches a butterfly at them. Opponents are slowed temporarily, while allies are given a Boost effect. If Tiera buffed an ally, she is given a Shield effect. Cooldown 21s 19.9s 18.8s 17.7s 16.6s
Tobi.png Tobi Tobi skill.png Help Me, Sweeper! Tobi locks on to another racer and creates a Sweeper robot ahead of them. The Sweeper moves back and forth across the track and acts as a Barricade. Opponents who collide with the Sweeper are also knocked back. Cooldown 18s 17.1s 16.2s 15.3s 14.4s
Uni Icon.png Uni Uni skill.png Tempest Tantrum Uni locks on to an opponent, then launches himself at them as a tornado. Each opponent Uni makes contact with is knocked away. After the effect ends, Uni is slowed for a short time. Cooldown 29s 27.5s 26s 24.5s 23s
Viktor.png Viktor Viktor skill.png Terrible Time Bomb Viktor targets an opponent to plant a bomb on them. After a few seconds, the bomb explodes, launching that racer and any other racers near them. Cooldown 25s 23.7s 22.4s 21.1s 19.8s
Vivi.png Vivi Vivi skill.png Awful Avalanche Vivi causes three big snowballs to appear on the track ahead of her. The snowballs roll backward and cause opponents to spin out on contact. Cooldown 27s 25.6s 24.2s 22.8s 21.4s
Airi Icon.png Airi Airi skill.png Water Bomb Bouquet Automatically upgrades Water Bombs into Water Bomb Bouquets. Bouquets cause three to five additional explosions, with the chance of five varying. Additionally, she is automatically given Water Bombs at set intervals. Water Bomb Timer/Chance of 5 Explosions 42s/19% 40s/20% 38s/21% 36s/22% 34s/23%
Brian Icon.png Brian Brian skill.png Dispatched Detective Brian starts the race with an enhanced Siren that gives a larger Boost than usual. Sirens he gets from item boxes are enhanced and give him a Barricade as well. Additionally, he is automatically given Sirens at set intervals. Derek.png Derek Derek skill.png Extreme Velocity Derek passively has a lower top speed than other characters, but while driving above 130 km/h for a few seconds, his top speed increases, stacking up to three times. Ethen Icon.png Ethen Ethen skill.png Ethen's Book Club Water Wisps Ethen collects have a chance to be changed into a Book. Books stun the first opponent ahead of Ethen, the stun duration increasing based on how far Ethen is from his target. Activation Chance 78% 81% 84% 87% 90%

Jisoo.png JISOO Rena skill.png JISOO's Escape Plan A certain number of times per race, JISOO will automatically break free from a bubble. Times Per Race 8 9 10 11 12
Keffy Icon.png Keffy Keffy skill.png Keffy & Donuts Whenever Keffy collects an item box, there's a chance he'll drop a donut behind him, which have one of two effects on the first racer to drive over it. Activation Chance 48% 50% 52% 54% 56%
Lisa.png LISA Diz skill.png LISA's Willpower Whenever LISA is struck with an attack item, she has a chance of automatically obtaining a Boost. Activation Chance 58% 60% 62% 64% 66%
Marid Icon.png Marid Marid skill.png The Power of Money Marid begins the race with a Boost and is able to charge up Boosts over time by driving at least 100 km/h. Boost builds faster the further Marid is from the first place racer. Base Driving Time 30s 29s 28s 27s 26s
Martin.png Martin Martin skill.png Hydrophile Whenever Martin is hit with or shields against a Water Bomb or Water Wisp, he has a chance of obtaining a copy of the item that hit him. Activation Chance 78% 80% 82% 84% 86%
Mobi.png Mobi Mobi skill.png Sleight of Hand Every so often, Mobi gains the effects of a Boost and an aura that allows him to copy an item from another racer by bumping into them. Cooldown 25s 24s 23s 22s 21s
Mos Icon.png Mos Mos skill.png The More The Merrier Whenever Mos obtains a Banana, Big Banana, or Barricade from an item box, he has a chance of being given five uses in that item slot. Activation Chance 78% 80% 82% 84% 86%
Orion.png Orion Orion skill.png Breaking Through A certain number of times per race, Orion will automatically shield himself against Barricades, Tobi's Sweepers, or Neo's Wave of Justice. Times Per Race 10 11 12 13 14
Pink Bean Icon.png Pink Bean Pink Bean skill.png Attack Reflection Pink Bean gains a passive shield for ten seconds that reflects Missiles and Water Wisps back at his attacker once every so often. Cooldown 32s 31s 30s 29s 28s
Raptor L.png Raptor L Raptor L skill.png Doing It Left Raptor L gains a Barricade if he turns left for a certain amount of time while driving at least 150 km/h. Turning Time 23s 22s 21s 20s 19s
Raptor R.png Raptor R Raptor R skill.png Doing It Right Raptor R gains a Barricade if he turns right for a certain amount of time while driving at least 150 km/h. Turning Time 23s 22s 21s 20s 19s
Rave Icon.png Rave Rave skill.png Fan Service A certain number of times per race, Rave will temporarily shield herself from further spin outs if she is hit with a Banana, Big Banana, or Siren. Times Per Race 4 5 6 7 8

Rex Icon.png Rex Rex skill.png Relentless Revenge When activating Instant Boost after being hit with an attack, there's a chance Rex will be given the effect of a Siren. Activation Chance 70% 72% 74% 76% 78%
Rivaski.png Rivaski Rivaski skill.png Alien Mind Trick Rivaski can passively see the items held by opponents one rank above and below him. Additionally, he is automatically given Scanners at set intervals. Scanner Timer 40s 38s 36s 34s 32s
Rose.png ROSÉ Martin skill.png ROSE's Promise Whenever ROSÉ is hit with or shields against a Water Bomb or Water Wisp, she has a chance of obtaining a copy of the item that hit her. Activation Chance 78% 80% 82% 84% 86%
Toto.png Toto Toto skill.png Cannonball Missiles Toto receives from item boxes have a chance of being upgraded into Cannonballs, which create an area ahead of him that causes Missiles to be launched at racers who drive through it. Activation Chance 58% 60% 62% 64% 66%
